The Bründlmayer family cultivates 60 hectares of the best cultivated area in Langenlois (Kamptal/Lower Austria). The winery was built by Ilse and Wilhelm Bründlmayer Senior, and has been managed by Willi and Edwige Bründlmayer since 1980. Willi Bründlmayer's passion is for his vineyards, which are mostly laid out in terraces. He continues to consider the soil conditions, the climate and the grape varieties cultivated in order to optimise the quality of the grapes. The grapes are pressed at an average pressure of 1 bar, which corresponds to a medium strength handshake. Depending on the grape variety, the fermentation is carried out in either wood or steel. For certain wines (Chardonnay, Langenloiser Spiegel - Pinot Gris and Pinot Blanc, red wines) 300 litre barrique barrels made from local wood (Manhardtsberger Eiche) are used.
Depending on the variety, the wines are kept in barrels for 6 to 36 months. After bottling, the bottles are stored upright for some time, giving the corks the opportunity to relax again - still without contact with the wine - thus minimizing the risk of corking.

Since 1947, the most valuable wines have been archived annually in the 700-year-old vinotheque. Intensive internal tastings of all available vintages enable intimate acquaintance with the vineyards, vintages and aging style. A statement by the famous wine journalist Robert M. Parker in his "Wine-Advocate": "The wonderful purity and precision of Bründlmayer wines make them my favourites among Austrian wines".
